About the Artist

Chase DuBose is a Minnesota based artist, known for her autobiographical audio sculptures that tell the story of her life struggles with culture shock, being mixed race and overcoming her disabilities. Born in Iceland, then moving to Belgium and the United States; where she graduated from Bethel University with a B.A. in Art in 2020; DuBose is no stranger to different cultures and relates her upbringing of living amongst people of different cultures and identities as a driving factor for her work. She has created multiple large scale metal sculptures for group shows, commissioned to make a piece for St. Matthew Episcopal Church and was granted an Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award Nomination to the International Sculpture Center in 2020.
